In 2015, the Disney Accelerator Program propelled Sphero to massive success with the launch of its BB-8™ App-Enabled Droid™. In 2016, Sphero capitalized on consumer engagement with the release of the Star Wars™ Force Band™ and special edition battle-worn BB-8™ App-Enabled Droid™.

WHAT SWERVEPR DID:

SWERVEPR held an exclusive two-day preview event at the Thompson Toronto to launch the Star Wars™ Force Band™ and special edition battle-worn BB-8™ App-Enabled Droid™. The reveal provided media with a review opportunity to demo the new product line and engage with Sphero CMO, Kelly Geer. The interactive nature of the event fostered an environment for media to gain familiarity with the new products and exposure into the Sphero brand and its various product initiatives.

THE RESULTS:

  • The event was attended by 25 media outlets.
  • The event earned 106 stories, totaling 23 Million impressions.
  • Cost-per-contact of $0.0003.
